Taking the AC shuttle bus from Margoa to Panjim will save you a lot in Goa

If your traveling to Goa via train you probably getting off at Margaon Junction railway station in Goa. The two main railway station in Goa are Margaon Junction and Vasco da Gama railway station. The latter is best, if your heading to the airport. Most of the tourists heading to Goa will be aiming towards North Goa because it's where most of the partying and night clubs are, and also the major attractions. Places like Baga, Arjuna and Calagute are the crowded tourist destinations in Goa.
Ticket charge for non-AC bus is 40Rs and for AC bus it's 48Rs.

A non-AC bus on the left and an AC bus to the right.
There are two ways to reach Baga from Margaon railway station - by bus or by taxi. Since there is no private taxi players like Uber and Ola in Goa; catching a cab will shell you a lot. Shocked?, here is why there is no Uber nor Ola in Goa. Prepaid taxi from the railway station to Baga will cost over 1000Rs. The only other option is catching the a bus. From the railway station you need to board a bus to Madgaon bus stand. The Goa state government which runs Kadamba Transport Corporation has frequent shuttle services between Madgaon and Panjim (the capital of Goa). The plus point about shuttle bus services is that they don't have any stop in between, its just the starting point and the ending destination. The first shuttle service from Margaon to panjim will start at 06:00 in the morning and the last service is at 22:00. Same is the schedule from Panjim - the first shuttle bus to Margaon will start at 06:00 and the last at 22:00. Know about bus timings Here - https://ktclgoa.com/routes-and-time/.

The ticket price for non-AC is 40Rs and 48Rs for AC bus. Yes, Just 8Rs difference between AC and non-AC! The journey is about 38kms and the commute will take over an hour. This is why you should not miss the AC. On my trip from Margoa to Panjim, I boarded the non-ac bus since I wasn't aware about the deal. On reaching Panjim I was exhausted because of the travel time and the heat. After my vacation in Goa it was time for me to head back and this time I boarded the AC bus from Panjim to Madgaon. The ride was very smooth, it didn't feel like it took long and above all I felt refreshed. A shuttle bus leaves in every 4 minutes depending on the rush and one in every 5 buses will be an AC so, it wont be much of a wait. The tickets for the AC bus will be issued only when the bus arrives at the bay and it will fill fast. Make sure to be attentive all the time. Hope this helps in planning your trip!
